This is a fabulous previously enjoyed suite for anyone looking to seat 3 people in great comfort and style. It features a pair of quirky high-low chairs, a third symmetrical chair with two footstools.
The 2 main Jogya chairs feature Tord Kjellstrom’s unique asymmetrical design: with one side high, the other low. The high side provides a cosy corner for you to snuggle into, while the low side is the perfect height for reaching your drink. The footstools add a touch of real luxury to the sitting experience; it is also good as an occasional seat, or as a low table with the cushion removed. The main material used is rattan. The chair and table skeletons are made from a structure of rattan poles, while the wickerwork uses fine peeled rattan. The wooden elements are made using FSC-certified teak and acacia (for seat-frames). Feather cushions are added here in the UK for luxury and comfort. The seat cushions feature a feather down and foam sandwich to make them more supportive.
The fabric on the cushions is one of our original handwoven hand-dyed fairly-traded cottons from Chandni Chowk’s partner in India – this is called Taaru Festival and is machine washable at 30 degrees.
The condition of the chairs is very good indeed are the cushions are still in reasonable condition considering their age. The price of £300 represents a terrific saving against the asking price which is over £3500.
New covers can be arranged and prices start at £936.00 for a complete set.
The furniture is in Norfolk. Delivery is not included in the above price and will be up to the buyer to organise.
