The Semarang companion chair — now ready for the outdoors.

This lower-backed chair complements the asymmetrical high-sided Semarang chairs beautifully, while making a striking standalone piece on its own. In response to popular demand, we’ve weather-hardened it to make it the perfect seat for your outdoor space.

The frame is crafted from the same locally sourced mindi wood as the indoor Semarang range, protected throughout — exposed and covered surfaces alike — with multiple coats of marine-grade varnish built to withstand years outdoors. All fixings are stainless steel, so there’s no risk of rust or staining over time. The weave uses Lima Rope, a solution-dyed polypropylene that’s water-repellent, quick-drying, rot-proof, and resistant to mould and fading — designed to hold its colour even in strong sunlight.

Fabrics
We’ve brought together a colourful collection of outdoor solution-dyed acrylic fabrics — water-repellent and UV resistant. Fabric selection does not alter the price of our outdoor furniture.
