Lockdown Day 9

April Fool’s day – woke up rather hoping someone would explain that this whole situation was an elaborate April fool’s joke, but no such luck. So we carry on adapting… and – alongside the worry and uncertainty – many surprising things are emerging as unexpected benefits. Here are a couple of interesting perspectives…

Firstly have a look at this poem delivered via video from a contemporary Polish singer song-writer called Riya Sokol. Her message rings many bells for us would-be Greenies:

I wrote a poem "Thank you, coronavirus". Watch it in the video. 💥The world is changing. ⁣💥Collective consciousness expanding. ⁣💥3D -> 5D ⁣💥Postmodern -> Integral⁣💥Fear -> Love ⁣Let’s pray for the ones who went ill. ⁣And stay in tune with gratitude for small things. ⁣For breathing. Being healthy. Being alive. ⁣⁣⁣

Compare that with this beautiful poem written recently by an American writer and palliative care worker…

And People Stayed at Home

And people stayed home
and read books and listened
and rested and exercised
and made art and played
and learned new ways of being
and stopped
and listened deeper
someone meditated
someone prayed
someone danced
someone met their shadow
and people began to think differently
and people healed
and in the absence of people who lived in ignorant ways,
dangerous, meaningless and heartless,
even the earth began to heal
and when the danger ended
and people found each other
grieved for the dead people
and they made new choices
and dreamed of new visions
and created new ways of life
and healed the earth completely
just as they were healed themselves.
