We’re thrilled to unveil something many of you have been eagerly waiting for – our new Outdoor Semarang Range! This marks a major milestone, as we step outside (literally) with our new outdoor collection.

Outdoor Semarang delivers the combination our customers already love – luxurious super-comfortable seating with stunning Swedish design, hand-crafted by our Fair Trade partners in Java Indonesia – now in a weather-hardened outdoor format.

Working with our suppliers, extensive research and innovation have ensured we preserve the look, feel and premium quality our furniture is known for while making it fully outdoor-ready.

With the help of our Indonesian partners, Outdoor Semarang features:
– the same locally-sourced mindi wood, now protected (in both exposed and covered parts) with multiple coats of high quality marine-grade varnish
– weather-resistant stainless steel screws and staples in the carpentry and weaving processes
– a solution-dyed polypropylene weaving material – Lima Rope – which is weatherproof (water-repellent and quick-drying, rot-proof, mould/mildew-resistant, plus with great UV-fastness).

And with our cushion partners, we have maintained the sitting-is-believing luxury of our feather cushions by using:
– an outdoor solution-dyed acrylic fabric – Panama – water-repellent and UV resistant
– and underneath the outer fabric a waterproof liner to keep the feather cushions dry.

The Panama fabric is washable and available in 9 colourways:
3 greens: Grass (as shown in photos), Green and Olive
3 blues: Lapis, Arctic and Acqua
3 neutrals: Marfil (cream, as shown in photos), Integral, and Beige/Cafe
